Our veterinary staff in Windham is passionate about making and keeping pets well throughout their lives and about providing clients with exceptional customer service. Julie joined Canobie Lake Veterinary Hospital when we first opened in 2005. Prior to that, she worked with advertising agencies in the greater Boston area for 19 years. She has had extensive training working with clients in customer service and sales. Julie is certified in Reiki II and Advanced Allergy Therapeutics (AAT), two modalities she enjoys working with to help animals. Julie resides with her husband and their Meyer’s parrot, Butch. Some of her interests include yoga, reading, jig saw puzzles, figure ice skating, and hiking.
PHR, Practice Manager
Jeffrey graduated from Keene State College with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a minor in sociology in 2007. He had over eight years of customer service experience working in both retail and hospitality before joining our team. He received his PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certification in May 2014. While he loves all animals, he has a special interest in exotics and has owned or fostered more exotic pets than he can count. Jeffrey currently has two adorable mixed breed dogs named Kafka and Ophelia.
Certified Veterinary Technician and Lead Technician/Inventory Manager
Kerri joined our team in 2008 after aspiring to be part of the veterinary world. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, in 2011, where she studied biology and psychology. In 2014, she received her master’s degree in biology from the University of Massachusetts. She is particularly interested in parasitology and microbiology. Kerri passed the Veterinary Technician National Examination in 2012 to become a certified veterinary technician. She is a member of NHVTA, NAVTA, and ASM.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, eating sushi, and traveling. She shares her home with Fiona Darla Ralphina Delaney, a red-footed tortoise; a rescue canary named Eduardo; two White’s tree frogs, Mulder and Scully; and a golden retriever named Stanley.
Customer Service Rep
Sara has been working as a veterinary technician since 2001 and joined our team in 2010. She has a strong interest in radiology and phlebotomy and loves to work with exotics. Her hobbies include art, outdoor activities, and horse training and riding. She has a variety of pets at home, including a dog, three cats, two horses, and one leopard gecko.
Client Service Specialist
Brittany has been working in the veterinary field since 2011 and joined our team in 2014. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology in 2011. She strives for excellent client care and has been working in customer service since 2006. On her off time, Brittany enjoys anything hockey related and listening to live music. She currently has a turtle named Marty McFly, a beautiful terrier mix named Torpedo, and a spunky kitty named Josie.
Client Service Specialist
Carrie is a delightful addition to our team! She is originally from Kentucky and moved to New England in 2004. She joined us in 2015 and has been a veterinary technician for 22 years. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, and walks on the beach to collect sand for her hermit crabs. She also has a fun loving cat and a huge frog. Carrie is most interested in customer service and hands-on animal care. You may recognize her from your check in, taking history and caring for your animal friends.
Dan has been in the veterinary field since 2009 and was a great addition to our team in 2015. Dan excels in customer service helping to make you and your pet feel comfortable. His favorite part of veterinary medicine is surgery, radiology and laboratory diagnostics. He enjoys gardening, hiking in the summer and apple picking in fall. He also shares his time with his adorable feline friend named Penny.
Megan has been a Veterinary Technician for 27 years which has allowed her the opportunity to work in many different aspects of veterinary medicine. Her main passions are surgical assistance and nursing care for hospitalized patients.
When not working, Megan is busy taking her son to all of his sporting events. They both enjoy the beach and outdoor activities. Megan has a horse retired in VA and a big lazy cat named Umpi who enjoys laying around the house.
Aj graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a focus in comparative anatomy and physiology. He also obtained a master’s degree in molecular and cellular biology from the same institution in 2012. Prior to coming to Canobie, Aj worked for Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s Center for Neurological Diseases in Boston, researching multiple sclerosis and other neurological diseases before coming back to the veterinary world in 2016. In his free time, he practices martial arts (which he’s done for more than eight years) and enjoys running.
Shannon has been a part of our team since 2011. She is a student at UMass Lowell and is looking to pursue a career in the sciences. Shannon enjoys being around animals here at Canobie Vet and at home with her golden retriever, Stanley. Like her sister, Kerri, she enjoys sushi and traveling.
Nikki came to Canobie Lake Vet as an intern during her senior year of high school. She always knew she wanted a career in veterinary medicine. She officially joined our team in 2013 after graduating. Nikki went on to graduate with a Bachelor’s from the Veterinary Technology program at Mount Ida College in May of 2017, and is now a certified veterinary technician. She enjoys working with all types of animals and particularly loves the experience with exotics. When home, Nikki spends her time with her chinchilla Artemis, and her dog Bia. She has also spent time volunteering for HSVMA-RAVS over the past several summers and enjoys the experience of helping to bring veterinary medicine to rural areas across the US.
Customer Service Rep
Maria has been working with animals since 2006. Her adventure started at a humane shelter where she learned skills in behavior and some veterinary medicine. From there, she decided to take on a roll as a veterinary technician and did this until the birth of her 1st child in 2015. After a brief leave to open up a comic book store with her husband, she realized working with animals was still a passion. She has since returned to us at Canobie Lake Veterinary Hospital helping wherever needed. Every chance she gets she spends time with her daughter Alex and husband Jason.
Customer Service Rep
Jordan graduated from Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in psychology in May, 2016. She also studied abroad at the International College of Management Sydney, in Australia to obtain a specialization in human resources. She currently resides in Massachusetts with her very handsome cat named Mowgli. When she is not at work, she enjoys being active, spending time outdoors, traveling to new places, going to concerts and doing crafts.
Amber has always loved animals and knew she wanted to work with animals at a very young age. Her adventure with Canobie Lake Vet started as a client with her guinea pigs. She loved the experience with the hospital and the team so much, she decided to become an intern. She interned at Canobie Lake Veterinary Hospital until she graduated from Great Bay Community College in 2017 with an associate in science in veterinary technology. After graduation she took a permanent position with the team. Amber went on to pass the VTNE and got certified in NH. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and loves being outdoors. She also loves spending time with her 8 guinea pigs and 3 family dogs.
