AAHA Veterinary Hospital in Windham: The Standard of Veterinary Excellence
We care for your pets just as much as you do, and it’s always been our goal to provide our patients with the best possible veterinary care. That’s why we’re proud to be accredited an AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital in Windham. This means that we meet the highest possible standards in veterinary medicine and are recognized as one of the best veterinary hospitals in the country.
Why Choose an AAHA-Accredited Hospital?
In order to earn the honor of accreditation, an animal hospital must voluntarily be evaluated on approximately 900 “best practice” standards for veterinary care. These include internal medicine, surgery, dental care, pain management, and record keeping. Once a practice is accredited, it must pass an inspection every three years to maintain its accreditation. Our AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital in Windham has been certified since 2007, which means we continuously meet the high standards that AAHA has in place. This means we ensure that:
- All precautions are taken to prevent the spread of infection to your pet if a sick animal is brought in and diagnosed with a disease.
- All animals under anesthesia during surgery or any other procedure are monitored by state-of-the-art equipment and experts who monitor that equipment.
- All pets requiring surgery have a pre-surgery assessment to determine if he/she is at risk during the anesthesia before surgery.
- We have emergency equipment and drugs available at all times for unscheduled emergencies that come through the door.
