Low-Stress Vet Care:
A Gentle Touch Leads to Happy Pets
Does your pet dread their annual checkup? Does the idea of a vet visit make you anxious? You’re not alone. But here’s the good news: you and your pet don’t have to experience stress at the vet, and we’re here to make sure of it.
Since we first opened our doors in 2005, we’ve been committed to creating a calm, stress-free environment for every pet and their family that walks through our door. That’s why every single member of our team is Fear Free Certified—a certification that means we’ve been specially trained in techniques that minimize stress and anxiety during your pet’s visit.
What Does "Fear Free" Mean?
A Fear Free experience means that we take every possible step to ensure your pet feels safe, secure, and comfortable throughout their visit. From the moment you arrive, we use stress-reducing practices designed specifically to address your pet’s emotional well-being. For some pets, we also prescribe pre-visit pharmaceuticals (PVPs), which are oral medications you administer at home to help ease your pet's anxiety before they ever get in the car.
Our stress-reducing, Fear Free approach includes:
Minimal Restraint
We handle your pet with care, using as little restraint as possible to avoid causing fear or anxiety.
One-on-One Care
Each pet is treated individually, allowing us to focus solely on their needs and comfort.
Slow and Gentle Movements
We avoid sudden movements that could startle your pet, creating a peaceful and calm atmosphere.
Clear Communication
We take the time to explain every step of the process to you and your pet before we do it, so there are no surprises.
Calming Tone of Voice
We talk to your pet in a soothing, reassuring tone, helping them feel at ease. Research shows that pets can understand the tone of our voices, so a calm word can go a long way in helping them feel more comfortable.
