What to Expect During Your Dog’s Physical Rehabilitation Appointment
The first step in the rehabilitation process is scheduling an initial consultation with our rehabilitation-certified veterinarian, Dr. Parnell. During this appointment, we will:
- Review Your Pet's Medical History: We'll discuss any symptoms, injuries, or concerns you’ve observed.
- Conduct a Physical Examination: We'll perform a thorough examination of your pet’s mobility and physical condition.
- Perform Thermal Imaging: We'll use our Wellvu thermal imaging camera to scan for areas of inflammation in your pet’s body, helping us pinpoint problem areas.
- Assess Orthopedic and Neurologic Function: We'll evaluate your pet's bones, joints, muscles, and nerves to determine the source of discomfort.
Following the examination, we’ll create a personalized rehabilitation plan that may include therapeutic exercises, changes in pain management, lifestyle adjustments, and nutritional recommendations.
We kindly request that you complete our online history form at least 24 hours prior to your consultation.
